I have a transaction, which sometimes stays in suspended status for hours.
Following information can be seen when I do a CEMT I TA TRA
Sta (SD)
Hty(CDB2RDYQ).
DB2E definition - THREADLimit for transaction is 1 and THREADWait is 'Yes'.
All other transactions defined in same fashion have no issue.
When this problem happens, I can go and change the THREADLimit to 2 the transactions starts immediately. But this is only a work around.
Can someone tell me why this problem occurs and can something be done from application side or definition side.
Thanks in advance. |

Does your shop have TMONCICS and TMONDB2? There could be many reasons for the SUSPEND and one of these monitors (or their counterparts) should be used to pinpoint this problem.

I'm Omegamon challenged and haven't used it in quite some time, so I can't help you.
Perhaps you should consult (and work with) personnel who are familiar with OMEG/CICS and OMEG/DB2, explaining to them the issue you are having?
Do you have access to the documentation?

Hi
Any Monitor for CICS show you the cause of the delay, right now i'm use mainview and the monitor has a section for the problem, omegamon has a section for problem or you can put the cursor over the transaction and you can see the problem
