Hi
I need to check whether at least a version exists for a GDG index.
I want to execute the next step if it exists.
Is there a way I can check for an RC for this and code that RC in my JCL.
The job should not give JCL error
Your advice is appreciated.

Hello Manu,
Please do a bit of research about what a gdg version is . . .
I am almost positive you are not interested in a version. . .
There are multiple forum topics about verifying the existence of a dataset. If you find something in one of those topics that is not clear, post what you found and your doubt.
Someone will be able to clarify. |

And I am pretty sure that you DO NOT mean a GDG index.
You really must use the correct terminology if you want to get answers. |
