Hi,

I need to convert VB to FB file.
Before doing the conversion, need to check if the file is VB or FB.
How do we check for the same in JCL?

Thanks.

REXX calling LISTDSI will give you the RECFM, and you can even invoke the SORT process from within the same EXEC if required.
