Hello and welcome to the forum,

Your post says you have created a VSAM file, but the error says there is an IMS problem. . .

When posting error messages, the message-id should also be posted.

If will probably help someone help you if you post the jcl from these 2 steps (using the Code tag).

Hello,

The posted jcl is incomplete (and it wasn't posted using the code tag). It appears that there were multiple error messages, but only one message id was posted. . . (i.e. UNABLE TO OPEN DDNAME VSDDF0 . ). One problem is that there is no such DD (at least not posted).

Suggest you post the jcl from both steps and this time use the "Code" tag. It is in the row of tags above the text entry window.

Use Preview to see how the post will appear to the forum. When the post appears as you want, Submit.

The biggest part of getting help from the forum is to post the question/problem completely and clearly.
