I have a KSDS VSAM dataset. It is having only 1000 transactions. Each day the transactions get updated. there is a weekly job which REORG the VSAM. But on the sixth day (the day before REORG) the performance is extremely slow.

I want some Idea performance should not degraded. We can't use DB2.

The next time you experience the slowness, run a LISTCAT on the file and post the output (in BBcode format). We'll review it and see what shows up.
