Hi,
Can some please let me know if following is possible in changeman?
1. I have an installation package (PLAN/PERM), Can I add some scratch components to this package? (actually I was thinking of having the same package for installing the new components and deleting the obsolete ones.)
2. Is it possible to give two separate install dates for 1 package? Say install components A B C on one date and install D E F on other??
Please reply ASAP. |

That depends on site-policy.
1. Usually this is not the practice, a "scratch" package means delete all the components included in this package. As I started with, this can be site dependent but I do not come across such a senario so far. Please get in touch with your changeman-admin to know the policies at your shop.
2. No -- it's not possible. Installation date is for package not for individual components and You install the package not the components. |

Hello,
Expat was being humorous/sarcastic. . .
It is considered bad form in the forum to ask for replies quickly (i.e. ASAP) or mention that the requirement is urgent. |

You're welcome.
Expat has given you a good direction -- Forum members are not in some agreement with anyone, they answer because they like to and such things can not be forced. |
