I need to free/overwrite an existing plan which was created by some other user. I don't have to access to free that plan. How can i do this?
Thanks in advance. |

Get the access from someone who can grant. Or get it freed from them. |

It can't be done, since that User id is revoked. |

dsivtina,
Goto DB2I panel ->option 5
You will find all the options like BIND PLAN, REBIND PLAN, FREE PLAN etc. |

This is no differnt then "FREE" which probably dsivtina, was using through BMC. And if you look into that option, such as shown below
Code: |
FREE PLAN SSID: DB2D
COMMAND ===> ________________________________________________________________
Enter plan name(s) to be freed:
1 PLAN NAME ................. ===> ________ (* to free all authorized plans)
2 ADDITIONAL PLANS? ......... ===> NO (Yes to include more plans) |
You'll find, this will work only for "authorized" plans so it won't for the request from OP as s/he said,

Having said that, I would like to believe by "revoked" s/he means "USER ID RACFID IS NOT ON FILE" because for revoked ID there is usually (always) a process in place to get them active. |

To resolve it:
1. Get in contact with your DBA, as suggested earlier.
2. If you have Jobtrac (sheduler) availble at your shop -- run a job using sheduler to "free" the plan. Schduler, usually, have access to execute such jobs successfully. (at least at my current shop...) |
