Hi Experts,
I have one input file with the length of say 4534 bytes.
Its copybook contains
02 WS-OCCURS-MASTER OCCURS 0 TO 50 TIMES
DEPENDING ON WS-NBR-MASTER
INDEXED BY WS-MAST.
..
..
.
.
In this case How should I proceed further and the find the value of any particular variable from the input file?
Please help me out. |

Hello,
Open the file in Browse and scroll right/left to the positions you want to look at. |

If you are looking for some specific value(s) out of the multiple "occurences" -- select "temporary criteria" while browing through File Aid and then restrict the search for specific value(s). |

Hi,
In version of 9.0 of File-AID, they introduced support for ODO (occurs depending on).
In your formatted selection criteria, you can enter OCCURS ALL , OCCURS ANY (this is the default) or OCCURS EVERY as a primary command. This is what they allow you to do.
OCCURS ALL - selection criteria defined, for a field, is specific to the occurence identified in the copybook layout on your screen.
OCCURS ANY - selection criteria defined, for a field, apply to any occurence that meets that citeria.
OCCURS EVERY - selection criteria defined, for a field, must be satisfied in EVERY occurence.
Using the above, you are able to better define the selection criteria for the record and occurence you are interested in.
Have a look in the user guide, for more information.
Cheers.
Sam. |
