Have created a program which creates the JCL dynamically & submits the job by running my pgm "EXEC" manually after the dataset "x" is created. Now how I can execute my routine automatically when file is cataloged without any manual interaction.
Daily doing the same for 60 jobs. |

ask Your scheduling people,
most schedulers have job triggers on dataset creation |

its in test region... we have an application which runs under test region for one particular market...
as you said dataset trigger facility files comes through xcom.. but we receive the data from txt files through our notes, then we copy into our local ps and finally moving into test region were we need to process and finally doing the above mentioned process. since we don't have xcom setup or facility to trigger the job when ever its cataloged... hence we are doing this manual process.
please let me know whether its possbile or not.. if yes please provide me the steps or link to follow |

nobody talked about XCOM, use Your scheduler facilities.
no scheduler ==> ( implies ) no automation
if You need to automate change Your process design/flow
nothing else we can do for You |

This thread talks about some alternatives -- may be you can make use of them, have a look. However, as Enrico said, I've been also using sheduler for such things. |
