Hi there,
I need a JCL where I can just keep the hlq, cartridges and then delete all duplicate hlq and cartridges.
Anybody that can help me?? |

| We have tried Rexx, but it doesn't seem to work so I thought that JCL might be a better option |

it does not work, is a bit generic...
please use a better terminology ...
remember JCL is used to setup the environment and execute programs...
alone it does not carry on any processing
also given the richness of rexx I find odd that You were not able to succeed
sadly, the requirement was stated in a rather obscure way
what does the input look like, what should the output look like?
quite often the solution is made easier by a clear understanding of the requirements |

This is my Dataset and member
this is what is in the member
C27255 IN NO ADR.BKUPD
C27255 IN NO ADR.BKUPD
But what I need in the member is only this
C27255 IN NO ADR
As you can see in the first one I have a duplicate and need that one taken out. |

| Use your SORT product, speecify the LRECL as the key and specify SUM FIELDS=NONE to remove duplicates. |
