What is mean by restart=*

Hi,

If i specify RESTART=* in the job card. What does it means?

Any idea?

RESTART=* will start JOB from first step (which usually happens without it also ) .

It just a parameter coded in the JCL so that whenever you want to restart from perticular step change * to stepname

If you keep it with * it will act as dummy
