Hi,
can anyone name some standard utilities for dataset backups to DASD volumes? And also is there any procedure for taking backups into mirrored DASD volumes?

We use IDCAMS only......Is there any thing specific you are looking for.

Yes,
I guess IDCAMS is the standard VSAM utility to back up data set to and from DASD volumes.

Thank you for the suggestion. But is there anything specific for getting mirrored copies on DASD volumes.

DASD mnaufacturers usually have have software for snapshots of volumes.
