From the Redbook ABCs of z/OS System Programming volume 1:
Quote: |
A subpool is a virtual storage area with the same properties regarding storage key,
pageable or fixed, private or common, fetch protected or not, and so on. When a program
Getmains virtual storage addresses, it must indicate the subpool number. |
Based on this and the last question you posted, I strongly suggest you go to the IBM web site, download all of the Redbooks in the ABCs of z/OS System Programming series that are available, and start reading. Then if you have specific questions, you can ask them. You are more likely to understand the responses you get, as well, if you have a solid foundation in the z/OS architecture first. |
