Hi All,
I have issued a SYNCPOINT in a CICS - DB2 program.
I am getting Problem in another IMS program while issuing a 'GU' Function Call.
Please suggest the solution.
Thanks,
Surya. |

Hi,
I have issued a SYNCPOINT in a CICS DB2 program which inserts data in to the Table, while checking for a Non-Duplicate Record to be Inserted.
I have placed SYNCPOINT after a successful Insertion of a Record.
That program is working fine.
But at the same time another program which is a COBOL program used in a COgen and IMS Environment is giving an Error From CICS-DL/I Interface.
DBIOC Error 99
DL/I Function GU
DBIOC Function GET SPECIFIC
Thanks,
Surya[/b] |

Random chance?
What makes you think there's any relationship? |

Hello,
Suggest you talk with your dbas.
There are considerations when using both ims and db2 to perform updates in the same unit of work.
If is quite likely that this process could interfere with other processes.
I believe this is more of a database issue than a cics issue and will move the topic if that is desired. |
