I cound not find any IBM DB2 manual that illustrate the SMF type 100, 101, and 102 record layout which should includes the HEADER, PRODUCR, and DATA, offset, field length, and data type. highly appreciate those who can guide me to get those info.

it maybe that these record types are db2 oriented, but the file is SMF.

so look in SMF documentation or search.

I remember a post a while back that gave the document name/number for individual SMF layouts.

or if you are lucky CICS_GUY or expat will give you your answer.

this SMF z/OS MVS system management facilities depicts the type 100, 101, and 102 are in DB2 Administration guide. But there is nothing about the type 100, 101, and 102 record layout within DB2 administration Guide.

a bit of curiosity and ingenuity would have helped....

sys1.maclib maclib contains the IFASMFR* stuff ( the mapping macros for zOS smf stuff)

the equvalent maclib for db2 would be ..
<some_db2_prefix>.SDSNMACS
with the powerful tools made available trhu ISPf run a SRCHFOR
using as a search argument "SMF COMMON HEADER"
e voila' les jeux sont faits
You will find the mappig macros for the relevant db2 smf records
are mapped by...
DSNDQWAS,DSNDQWSP,DSNDQWST

follow the same approach for cics

run an assembly step and You will have the layout documented

Hello,

Did you do this in addition to finding the members?

If not, do so now and post anything that causes errors or is not more clear.
