Hi ,

I want to FTP an ISAM file from Unisys to IBM, when i use normal FTP command, it is giving me an error. But when i converted the ISAM file to Sequential(system data format (SDF)) in Unisys and after that when i FTP from IBM it worked. Please tell me that is there any way to FTP ISAM from Unisys to IBM with same properties.

Thanks and Regards,
Eman

data set organization is different between different operating systems...
the only organization which is common between different operating systems is the physical sequential

Unisys ISAM has no correspondence in the IBM world

I worked on a UNIVAC (now Unisys) mainframe in the late 70s and their ISAM functioned very similar to IBMs VSAM at that time. As stated, the best thing to do is convert to sequential, FTP to IBM, convert to VSAM. I don't think it can be done directly in one step.
