Hi,
when I am AUDITING a changeman Package, I got a SYNCH10! error in AUDIT report which I think comes when any component is also used in any other package at the same time. But when I deleted the other package (which had the common component) and when I did Auditing again, it showed the same SYNCH10! error.
Help please!!

Hi,
It's not to do with other packages but with "baseline". SYNCH10! is Version regression problem. Try the following:
1. Take the back-up of your package.
2. Delete the component in question from the package.
3. "Check-out" it from base-line again.
4. Cut/paste the "new" code from your back-up.
5. Stage the component again.
6 Audit the package.
And what happens, let us know. |

I tried this and this worked. But ideally we should not change the whole code, this is not as per standards.
Also, i couldn't get the exact problem coz earlier also codes were taken from Baseline.

Who decides these standards? You should consider them to change a bit..

Chnage-man is version control tool. When your project was started (say in baseline Version is V1.0) , you might have "checked-out" the code from base (Version V1.1, in your package)but over the time there had been other release of same component, now the baseline version is V1.1 while package also have V1.1 - this will not be allowed by audit & will cause to SYNCH10!. |
