i Would like to concatenate 3 files through JCL. Could you please let me know the procedure
1. Header File
2. Details File
3. Trailer File.

What does it say about this in the JCL reference manual ? easily available from the "IBM Manuals" link at the top of the page. |

Hello,
In cotext of this thread, word "concatenate" is little misleading for me -do you want to concatenate files under single DD or want to "merge" three different type of records in one file? |

It's not clear what you want to do. Please show an example of the records in your input file and what you expect for output. Explain the "rules" for getting from input to output. Give the RECFM and LRECL of the input files. Give the starting position, length and format of any relevant fields. |
