hi,
I am doing EXEC CICS LINK to an online program from a batch program with EXCI facility. Will only a PPT entry do or is there a necessity to do a PCT entry also? What i understand is PCT contains 'transaction' data and if a program does not have any transaction associated, then only PPT entry of the program will be sufficient. please throw some light.

sachingogia,

Communicating with CICS from a batch program requires more
work than just writing code with CICS LINK. You need to talk with
your CICS systems support people. There is some other resource
definitions they need to perform, before this will properly work.

You can also review this for additional information
