In one of the focus program a variable is defined as
BLK/I8 = POSIT(MBR_FNAME,14,' ',1,BLK);

I am not able to understand what POSIT means

Can anyone help me in this regard

Hello,

POSIT is used to find the beginning (POSITion) of a substring.

Quote:
POSIT(parent, inlength, substring, sublength, outfield)
