We are wondering about the advantages of converting our IMS DB/DC system to DB2/IMS DC. Please could someone clarify the below doubts?

1. Do we have separate licence for IMS DC alone? If so how cheaper is it when compare to IMS DB/DC (the whole product)?

2. Is it possible to compile/run IMS DB/DC programs under DB2/IMS DC environment?

3. Can we get IMS DB compiler alone?

4. Is it possible to compile the IMS DC programs under CICS?

Thanks,
Naresh.

For questions 1-3, you need to check with your legal department. Question number 4 is NO.
