Copy mainframe file / datasets directly to a CD

How we we copy mainframe file / datasets directly to a CD.

I know we can use FTP method to download the mainframe file first to PC folder and from their to CD.

But now i wanted to know whether it is possible to Copy the mainframe files or datasets directly to CD with out using FTP method.
Is their a way?

I would like to you, What you meant to say 'non existent hardware' .

What my question was whether there exists any Softwares / tools that helps to copy mainframe datasets directly to a Compact Disk.

non existent hardware means just that... something that doe not exist

in these forums it means hardware directly connectable to a MF

follow on to my previous post

I was partly wrong about non existance ( everything is relative ),
Your asking on a forum implied, from my point of view,
low cost tecnology, cheap hardware, cheap software, easy install, easy utilization

but if You are asking from a higher profile point of view ... Yes!
there are non cheap tools for CD/DVD creation,duplication,labeling and all the frills
