Is it possible how to use scrollable db2 queries in IMS

Need to scroll the pages in IMS online,is there any inbuilt function in db2 to query to handle

Hello,

No. DB2 is a separate database system.

Possibly, i misunderstand what you are asking. . .

To my knowledge CURSOR WITH HOLD OPTION as we use for CICS pseudoconversation to scroll wont be applicable for IMS DC,is there any other method used?

Hello,

You need to be sure to not mix things across boundaries. The cursor in cics is fo db2 (or some other sql-based database).

Yes, but with IMS you will need to issue commands to navigate thru the database.

If you look in the IMS part of the forum there are many examples as well as links to the IMS documentation (which you will want to bookmark for your use).

Also, at the top of the page is a link to "IBM Manuals". Among them are the IMS Command Reference and the IMS Programming Guide.
