I'm getting the below error when I run the job

Error:
[DataStage][SQL Client][ODBC][IBM(DataDirect OEM)][ODBC DB2 Wire Protocol driver]Local Security Service non-retryable error.|

I think this is because of my TSO id doesn’t have permission to connect the DB2 through ODBC.
Kindly suggest from where I can get the external query execute permission for my TSO/DB2 id?

Hello,

Suggest you talk with your dba and your security admins.

Solution for this:

Whenever any user tries to connect to DB2 via external DBMS like Oracle, Datastage or any other, then if he does not have permission for an external query execute, he won't be able to execute the programs.

The user needs a REMOTE access for that DB2 environment i.e. remote access for DB2V, DB2T etc). This is done by the Security administrators. They need to grant the access to DB2 files.

Which DB2 files? - I'll post on Tuesday. I donn know as of npw

If say user using the DB2V system on DB2 then he needs access for

DSNR profiles DB2V.BATCH
AND
DB2V.DIST

I'm specifically interested in posting this because I struggled along with my security admin for 2 days to get this worked!
