what is the jcl code sheet lenght.

2. what is disp default values.

3. how to copy the all file using sort command(by suing sum fileds)


4.how to copy all the non-unique files suing sort.

Hai ayyappa ,

I know only one answer. That is the default value of Disp is

Disp=(new,delete,delete). I hope this is correct and let me know anything wrong.

Hi Ayyappa,

I think the answer to your 3rd question is

SUM FIELDS=ALL

And to copy non-unique files using sort. I thinks you mean non-unique records in a file, if it is so then , you can use
SUM FIELDS=NONE,XSUM
and specify the SORTXSUM DD Statement before.
The non-unique records will be copied to the DSN specified in the
SORTXSUM DD Statement.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Hi ayyappa,

Varadhan is correct. The default values for disposition is (NEW,DELETE,DELETE).

Hi Ayyappa,

The EXEC statement identifies the member or program name only ,
so to provide the location of that program in the system we need
JOBLIB or STEPLIB.
The JOBLIB statement is coded just after the JOB statement and
this is a DD statement which specifies where the program that is
specified by the EXEC statement resides.
