How to obtain system TIME using sort.

Hi,
Can any one help me in obtaining the system time using sort or icetool. I require the system time in a sepearte file. I need this information to know when the job has started to run. there will be no input file for this step. can any one help me in this.

Take a look at TIME specifies that the current time is to appear in the reformatted OUTFIL output records in the form 'hh:mm:ss', where hh represents the hour (00-23), mm represents the minutes (00-59), and ss represents the seconds (00-59). in the DFSort Manual.....
