Hi,

Is there anyway to print a VSAM file in formatted mode in a PS file?

It would be helpful if its vertical format mode...

Note: VSAM (KSDS) file length is more than 3500 and has more than a 50 fields in copybook layout.

TIA

Hi,

There is a limit in the vertical mode format and you will not able to use VPRINT option for more than 80 record length.

The data will be truncated. So you will not be able to view/print the record in PS using VPRINT option.

In horizontal format you can do this, but it will take a huge amount of time in reformating.

I will suggest you to use Easytrieves to format and write the records in to the PS,it does not take much time.
