Is there any JCL check better than TYPRUN=SCAN that is available without any proprietary product, i.e. if there is no JEMCHK available, what's the best thing available?

!JCK is invoking CA's JCLCHECK, which is a proprietary product which must be paid for to use.

Hi, JCLPREP is not a free product, but you can do pretty amazing things with it over and above validation. I've used it to generate multiple different versions of JCL from a single source member to run on lots of different test systems, amongst other things!
