I am trying to run an IDCAMS job for batch QCF (IBM Queue Control Facility) function query. But I am getting a return code of MAXX-CC 16 with the following error:
"IQC7003E - RC=0010 QCF CRITICAL ERROR IN MODULE IQCBMST0 INACTSCI RC=01000010,RSN=CSLSCREG"
Can anyone please help me on why is it being caused and it's solution? |

have You .....
looked at the messages and codes manual or
searched online with the lookat facility
http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/z/os/zos/bkserv/lookat/
its usually faster to have somebody on ibmmainframes do it for You, isn' t it ?
or what is that You/Your_support_people did not understand in the manual ?
quoting from the messages and codes
Quote: |
IQC7003E CRITICAL ERROR IN MODULE module reason RC= rc RSN=nnnnnnnn
Explanation:
A critical error occurred in the module that is indicated by the value of module, for the reason that is indicated by the value of reason, with the return code that is indicated by the value of rc, for the reason that is indicated by the value of nnnnnnnn.
System Action:
Processing terminates.
User Response:
Report the problem to IBM software support.
Module:

any other comment is superfluous |

Yeah, I did check out the website you mentioned (that was my first reaction), but it's not exactly the answer I was looking for. The page just says that there was a critical error in the module, but it doesn't explain what is the critical error.
Also the user response is to contact the IBM support guys! I would like to learn more about the error before talking to the folks in IBM :-).
If anyone has a more specific answer, please let me know.
Thanks anyways Enrico. |

I have just noticed that the message layout You posted is different from the message layout in the manual
it means that some PTF' s have been applied,
You should ask Your support to provide You the cover letters of the ptfs installed
with the updated messages text
for example
Apar:
PK59504: CONSISTENT CODES ARE NOT BEING RETURNED FROM BATCH FUNCTIONS
PTF:
R310 PSY UK33998 UP08/02/26 P F802 |
