Whenever a test job is run, the job moves from the running status to the output queue, in my case it goes to the end of the page, i wanted to have it at the top of the output queue, so that minimum keystrokes are required to navigate in the IOF. I used the Macro SORT JOBID D, as it sorts the job in the descending order of their job ID's but then if a similar job was run a day before or like that those jobs still occupy the highest position in the IOF. Could anyone help me with some MACRO so that if i run a job then it might come to the output queue at the top irrespective of the DAY of submission of the job, just it must be at the top in the output queue?

Hi,

I don't know anything about IOF but the command is similar to SDSF,

so maybe you can try SORT CRDATE D JOBID D.

Gerry

NB: if the JNUM cycles more than once in a day, the results may still not be what you want.

Hey,

once u r in IOF ...in the command line give SORT then press Enter, you will get the following menu (freom that option 3 )

1 Sort by jobname and jobid (SORT DEFAULT)

2 Leave the list unsorted (SORT OFF)

3 Sort most recently run jobs first

4 Sort oldest jobs first

5 Sort by owner, jobname and jobid

6 Display HELP for the SORT command

Thanks,
KK
