SAM1N REQ=09 STA=97 RC=080008 LOC=OA03 MSG=ARD140 - OPEN ERROR - AM1N
OPEN WAS SUCCESSFUL: FILE INTEGRITY VERIFIED.
(FOR FILES OPEN I-O A STATUS 97 IS NOT ACCEPTED)

What does this exactly mean?

The VSAM file was not closed properly last time it was accessed (updated?).
If the progam getting this error is programmed correctly, it should have treated this error as a normal open of the file and continued normally.

In the step before this step, insert an IDCAMS VERIFY. Then, the status "97" will go away and if there aren't any other errors, the status will be "00".

Look's like you're running VisionPlus CMS? ARD140 and AM1N are dead giveaways icon_wink.gif

I'm surprised PaySys didn't recommend the VERIFY.

Regards,

Bill
