I have input GDG file, would like to process the GDG generation number in my COBOL program, how can achieve this?
(Don't want use LISTCAT...Plz) |

Kevin,
It's difficult to digest the concept/logic used in COBOL to identify the DS name by using POINTER.
Could you please elaborate the logic. |

Hi raghav08 !
You don't have to realize the concept of the triggering in TCB,TIOT,JFCB.
Don't get overly excited. Just take it as a fact.
The samples provided by Kevin are in great detail.
Try them all, then use the one you like.
