How to put "Not" in where clause of sql

Hi All,
I have one sql which is
EXEC SQL
SELECT CUST_NO
FROM POF_LOG
WHERE CONTACT_NO NOT= (input copybook's)CONTACT_NO
END-EXEC.

Now my question is how can I write not in where clause of above sql? icon_question.gif

Do you mean

WHERE CONTACT_NO <> (input copybook's)CONTACT_NO ???

or

WHERE NOT CONTACT_NO = (input copybook's)CONTACT_NO

Try reading the manual.
