Here IDCAMS & REPRO are being used for VSAM file copy.I know that "SYNCSORT" can be used as alternate to idcams-repro to get better cpu performance.But i don't have SYNCSORT here.So any other suggestion for getting better performance than IDCAMS-REPRO |

But i am not sure about the syntax for copying using DFSORT.Also is there any performance benefit than IDCAMS-REPRO? |

There are examples of using DFSORT with VSAM on theforum.
As for performance gains, that is something that you might care to measure yourself. |

That was an excellent pdf.But that was related to SORT processing more.
But here we have only concern about "COPY" process.So can you suggest how DFSORT & ICETOOL can be used to get performance benefit? |

Hello,
Just copy the file. Sort will usually perform better than idcams or iebgener with no additional input from you. |

In very limited testing of copying PS files My results of relative cost at this shop were:
Repro 1.0 Gener 1.63 SrchPrnt .99 DF Sort .39 |
