Here IDCAMS & REPRO are being used for VSAM file copy.I know that "SYNCSORT" can be used as alternate to idcams-repro to get better cpu performance. But i don't have SYNCSORT here.So any other suggestion for getting better performance than IDCAMS-REPRO

There are examples of using DFSORT with VSAM on theforum.

As for performance gains, that is something that you might care to measure yourself.

Hi,

You might like to check "Concurrent VSAM/non-VSAM load" at

That was an excellent pdf.But that was related to SORT processing more.
But here we have only concern about "COPY" process. So can you suggest how DFSORT & ICETOOL can be used to get performance benefit?

Hello,

Just copy the file. Sort will usually perform better than idcams or iebgener with no additional input from you.
