Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can help me.

I am trying too code a Password Change script that will logon to Multiple systems...

My VB Knowledge is non existent.

The whole idea is for anyone too logon >> take all the steps to change their password and then the script should take that password and distribute it accross all the systems for multiple Customers.

Its the variable part that gets me i don't know how too save input so that i can reuse it.

If anyone can help i would appreciate it.

Thanks

Hello Dirk and welcome to the forums,

Before you invest a lot of time in this, you might want to check with your security admins. Embedding and distributing passwords is often a security violation.

Hi Dick, Thanks.

But how can logging on, changing my password and logging off with my own username and password on multiple systems be a violation?

I'm just asking because it should not be in violation of any security rules... its only automating a task that would normaly take me half a day to complete because of the amount of systems we have.

Hi Dirk,

At many places any embedding of id(s) and/or password(s) is not allowed. Even though it takes more time, the rule is to do this manually.

That's why i suggested checking with your security admins. It may be OK and it may not. . .

make up your mind is it for general use or personal use...

the first security advice ( even if bothersome to implement )
never use on different systems the same password

so Dick' s advice stands
