Hi,
Can anyone give me details on typrun parameter.
what are the following different options mean?
TYPRUN=COPY
TYPRUN=HOLD
TYPRUN=SCAN
TYPRUN=JCLHOLD
Can we use all of them in JES2 & JES3? |

Well the Typrun parameter details are
hold-- it will hold the job until the operator releases the space . The job will not be executed and will be in a hold position only if syntactically correct...
jcl hold--- this parameter will do the same thing bt the main difference is that it is basically used for jes2 and if not syntactically correct even then it will hold the job.
scan--->the program is checked for syntax errors only and will not get executed. |

TYPRUN=COPY
indicates for JES2 systems only, that the job's input stream will be copied directly to SYSOUT - the job will not execute |

Kanak,
I could understand the usage of all the options except TYPERUN=COPY. What is the use of copying the input stream just to the sysout?

Easier than setting up print jobs for each job you may wnat to print.
