Can anyone tell me whether its is possible to extract records from IDMS database using CA Easytrieve®?
If so could you please provide me a sample code?

Hello Ricky and welcome to thne forums,
Yes, you can read IDMS data and create extracts of it using Easytrieve.
There is too much info to include here. It is in the Easytrieve documentation. If your site is licensed to use Easytrieve, the documentation is available for free from CA Support (in case it is not already downloaded to some system where you are).
The documentation is covered by copyright and it may neither be posted nor linked to from our forum. |

Here is a little nugget:

[IDMS]
IDMS designates a CA-IDMS database. You must code a FILE statement for each SUBSCHEMA that is used. Subschema-name names the database to be processed.
[RESET]
The RESET option causes all record areas to be set to binary zero prior to root record retrieval. |
It is all in the fine manual, get you copy and look there..... |
