I am aware that backward processing can be done using OPTCD of RPL macro. But is it possible to achieve the backward processing in IDCAMS.

OK, IDCAMS is just a utility to copy VSAM files or maybe insert a few records into a KSDS.

If you want to produce a flat file in descending key order then maybe SORT would be your best option.

If you want to create a KSDS in descending order - you can not do that.
