Hi,
We have a login web page (CGI pgm). The user ID and PWD is passed from the web page to a mainframe via an IMS Transaction. Can we encrypt the transmission from web to mainframes, if so, is there a way to decrypt the transaction in IMS?
I don't know if I should have posted this question in some CGI forum?? I thought I would start asking here...cause I get good response.

Hi rchandran,
As far as I remember transactions will not be encrypted but data will be encrypted. The data will be saved in files and those files are encrypted and decrypted.
If any thing pls let me know.

Yes, You are right....the data that we pass with the transaction has to be encrypted, if at all there is a way. Can we encrypt it..and is there a way to decrypt at the receiving end...after we read the message tran? |
