Your request isn' t very clear

IGYCRCTL is not an acronym nor an abbreviation

it' s the name chosen by IBM for the cobol compiler

the one thing standard in IBM jargon is that the first THREE characters of almost anything
identify the component

for example

IGY - Cobol compiler
IKF - Another cobol compiler ( very old )
IST - Communication server aka VTAM
IDC - access metod services / vsam
IKJ - TSO
ISP - ISPF dialof manager
ISR - ISPF

Sometimes a load module will have an ALIAS name for ease of use, such as IERRCO00 has alias SORT.

IGYCRCTL has no such alias name.

Hello,

You need to talk with someone in your organization. Typically, only one compiler is available on a system.
