I want to change the setting of my mainframe tool. For example: If I press 'SHIFT' key and right arrow it should select the text as in MS Word.
On pressing 'End' key, cursor must go to the end of the line.

Please suggest

Check the manual or help on settings for your emulator.

Don't you think identifying your emulator might help?

At least PCOM doedn't allow this, you have to 'scroll'...grin..

For this assign ''ctrl+END' keys in keyboard map.

On my PCom, if I SHIFT and cursor arrow right I get a select "box" drawn around the word. Keyboard mapping shows the function is "MARK RIGHT". I think this is what AMit wanted.

It would be nice...
it would generate less useless traffic...
it would help to get You a quicker answer...

if You were more specific on what You mean by mainframe tool....
a screwdriver, an oscilloscope, a truck to deliver the mainframe to the installation site , ...

Hi Bill,

No, I think not this.

If You use 'SHIFT + END' key does it allow to select till the end of the 'string', as in Microsoft Word documents, i think this is what Amits' question is?

To me, the END key question seems separate from the "text select" in the Amit's first question. I hope Amit comes back to update us.

To jump the cursor to the end of the line, assign PCom command [end field] to the <END> key.

To select the rest of the sentence with one key I don't think can be done.
