IMS DB restart problem

hi,

when i try to restart the IMS DB job i got U2220 abend and the audit report says Unable to GU Gsam file. please let me know how can i solve this problem.

First - your U2220 is a programmed abend. Look at the program to find out why you abended. Did you restart your PSB?

yes.. i am testing the jobs.. first i have to abend the job then i have to restart the job . This is a BMP program.

First make sure that you are in the region where you were executing. Then
/dis pgm (your psbname)
/sta pgm (your psbname)
/dis pgm (your psbname)

I also assume you were issuing a checkpoint? And, this is what your GSAM file is?

Could it be you restarted the job including the step where the GSAM was allocated and therefore empty? Normally this will lead to a 260 error but I don't know how your shop is organised.

i have tested already some jobs successfully.

yes i was issuing checkpoint through input file.. when i restar the job i give 'LAST' in that file.
