Will a job scheduled in CA7 for a particular condition at a specified time, run after that specified time if that condition is met? For example, I have CRQ which gets activated when i receive certain set of files at 3:45AM and triggers the respective job. If those files are not received CRQ gets incactivated and another job would be triggered. My question is, if those files are received at a later point of time, will the CRQ get activated and would it trigger the respective job? [/b] |

What does it mean ?
I will try to explain from what i have understood....
A job can be scheduled in of the following ways..
1. Time Dependent (Job waits for the time and gets active)
2. Job Dependent(will not be active until parent job completes)
3.Dataset Dependent (waits for the dataset and will be in REQ(requirement status),but the job can be either of type 1 or 3).
I think you are speaking about type 3. So the job will be in the requirement queue until the requirements gets satisfied, here it is a dataset.
If it is waiting for the longer time, administrators may raise a ticket(issue) for the support ppl and can cancel the job.
So the job will wait indefinetly until its requirements gets satisfied.I dont know how a job can be automatically gets inactivated after certain time.
Let me know , if you still have any queries.
Techies may be you can throw some light. |

Job can be trigger by entering in to CA7 and release that job. |

Up to my exp the job will keep waiting even for morethan 6 hrs. Production people has some monitoring sequence if they found some jobs didnt run for the dependent then they will send a request to CA7 team asking the reason. They use to give the reason for which dataset the job is waiting ... Then the production people work on the issue or they will ask the CA7 team to force complete the job ... this is what i have faced .... Let me know if anything which i can help you out ... |

Iswarya,
There will lead time associated with it, it depends might be an hour for example till 4.45pm it will wait for the job, if it doesnt happen to receive it.
The job simply abends or look out for the other input as in the job requirement, whether it should accept from the other or not.
Hope this helps,
