Using that screen, you can specify the initial options for VIEWING/EDITING a dataset.

Setting is given like that.

If you don't want that screen, you please talk with MVS Shop Team.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Hi Agni,

Usually you type the command RES for viewing/editing the dataset when the dataset initially opens.
Using this entry Panel, Initial Macro . . RES, the command automatically gets executed each time you try to view/edit a dataset.

Hi,

Acronym 'RES' is referring to... REStart or Remote Environment Server. I also use this command, but not sure about the full-form.. (full-forms convey better message I think), if anyone knows here, please share.
