Hi,
I would like to know about creating a new XREF.
Actually I am using an existing XREF. A copybook used was changed ( i.e, a new variable is added to it) . This copybook is already in the XREF. So What changes should i make to run the Fileaid correctly with the new variable added in place.

In case you have updated the copybook with the new type of record,
say a Detail record(record type 1 or 2 some thing like that), update the XREF with its record type, position,length,value details.
