creating GDG from abended step

Hi Friends.......

please let me know the answer for this question

i am creating 10 generations in 10 steps my job abends at 6th step, now i am restarting the jcl from 6th step. what should i give the value in the index to create 6th generation.

No Need to change the Index..It will remain +1 only...

Hi,

when we are creating generations in each step we have to give index value +1, +2, +3......so on+10 right??
now we are restarting job from 6th step means we have to give +1, +2, +3, +4. is this right?? please clarify my doubt.
