Hi,

Is it possible to have pop-ups in IMS/DC screens?

Ie, If i have a field like Street-name in my screen and i enter 'Victoria', a pop-up should be enabled which has all possible Victoria streets and their post codes.

The customer representative should be able to select the correct value from the pop-up onto the main screen.

Please help me with this.

Thanks.

Hi,

Is it possible to develop drop-down facility in IMS/DC screens.

I have a requirement where either a drop-down or a pop-up needs to be added to a screen. Came to know that pop-up is not possible.

Please help me with this.

Thanks.

develop drop-down

drop down and pop up' s are
from a point of view of screen management EXACTLY the same Thing...

You are overlaying screen data with some other data,
closing the pop up or undropping the drop down will mean "repaint"
the screen with the underlaying/previous data...

ISPF can do it because of an ISPF coordinated "TOTAL" screen management

in any other environment IMS and CICS You are on your own

explained you need to control your screen navigation by yourself.

You should design all this by your self..
Say when u press PF1 in STREET field then display another screen which will list all the Streets and Postal codes. Once the user selects a data item from this list, you need to carry and bring that back to your original screen and display to user. And continue your processing.

For user this will display as list down or pop up or help screen, but remember all this you should design and develop code for this.
