We are running Defrag job every week. We are getting following error code:
IEC614I CREATE FAILED - RC 192, DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION IS(040343C9),906DFDSS,BEP950,SYS1.DFDSS.DEFRAG. .BEP950.DUMMY
As per me, the job step failed with RC 192 for CREATE function on DFDSS method for the volume BEP950 during Defrag.
Please any one let me know how to trace exactly the reason for the failure and how to see the Diagnostic Information. |

Did You start by looking at the manuals...
message and code to start with,
and there You will be redirected to dfp diagnosis,
where You will find the reason for the failure...
Has something changed in You SMS setup lately ???
...
I DID THE READING AND THE SEARCHING ALREADY,
since it' s something that can be done easily, I will post
ONLY IF YOU SHOW THAT YOU TRIED TO HELP YOURSELF :-) |

Thanks for the quick reply.
Iam referring few manuals which says that for the exact reason refer the DFSMS/MVS DFSMSdfp for an explanation of the failing function's return code and the assosciated diagnostic information.
I have tried the get the inforamtion as
MSGIEC614I CREATE RC192 RSN040343C9 after verifying the reference manual but I could not able to know how to trace exactly the diagnostic code.
Could you please help in that. Your inputs are highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
