Find the dataset size by using the CA 1 - tape

would be possible to find the dataset size by using the CA 1 - tape ??
i know there are a bunch of reports... but i 'don't see anyone which can relate dsn names (in tape) and size.... any clue thru online screens or batch reports is appreciated !

Hello,

Talk with your storage management people.

In the TMC, there is information about the amount of data in a file.

An easy way to report against the TMC is to write a simple EARL report for the data you are interested in. The storage management people may already have somethng that provides the info you want (they may also prefer GRW for reporting).
