Hi

To comment any query in spufi give two hyphens before the query in the spufi. This will comment that line.

Bye

Hi,
just give double hyphens(--) in new line and copy that line using command (c).
Using overlay(o) with no. of lines u can comment how much lines u want to comment.

Hi GVT,

We can comment all queries in SPUFI in one step as follows.

- First Move all queries into second column using )) line command.

at begining give )) in first column. give ))1 at end

))01
0002
0003
0004
))105

- Then give change command as follows

C ' ' '--' 1 all ( in command line and press enter)

Thanks,
Reddy.

Hi all,
I agree with the solution provided by ovreddy but I would like to know in what situation you want to comment all the quries, What I understand by this is you do not want to execute any of the quries then why are you worried if they are commented or not.

please let me know in case of any concens.
regards,
David.

Hi GVT & David,

As I know it will work. I tried it many times infact i am using it daily. U may be mistaken in giving replace command once again i will give syntax for replace.

C ' ' '--' 1 all ( in command line and press enter
C 'blanksapce' 'dash dash' 1 all (ENTER)
Before that u need to put (( in the begining of first and last lines.

David,

There are situations we need to comment all queries. Already i have some 10 queries in SPUFI. Now I want to write one more single line SELECT in the same SPUFI Input file and execute. So first we will comment all then insert new query in the first line.

Thanks,
Reddy.
